About Us
Cathy and I are both incredibly analytical and true researchers at heart. We live our lives trying to make the best choices for our families and our business. Because of this, we believe our customers have the right to know the history of the product they have their hands on and we plan to tell them all that we can about that product, if they ask of course.

Quite honestly, we don’t believe the world needed another retail store…it needed one with a better purpose. At Olio United, we share stories.

We know opening up a retail store is not the ultimate solution to the number of global issues that we face. But, by supporting your local artisan and buying fairly made products, or just making good purchasing decisions, you can participate in making sure that your dollars are an active part of the solution.

We continue to change what we do around here on a daily basis, but stay true to our mission: buy product that benefits people’s lives and share their stories with you.

Co-Owner
Runs a tight ship: chief operations manager, skilled multi-tasker, data lover, and previous art teacher of over ten years making her wildly creative and incredibly efficient. Cathy has opinions if only you should ask which makes her the ideal shopper and a fierce buyer for the shop.

Korinne James
Co-Owner
Moderately impulsive: relies on Cathy to reel her back in occasionally. Has a fetish for pointy red wedge shoes (reference previous line), loves to seek out some of the most unusual handcrafted wares and is proficient in all mac software programs, i.e. illustrator, photoshop, bridge, golive, acrobat and word, thus making her a graphic designer.
